About

I do one thing, and rather a lot of it.

I’m John Taylor. Twelve years in private practice, and for a good while now almost all of it has been this — erections, anxiety, and the silence men keep around both.

01How this became the specialism

Not by design. Early on, men came to me for other things — work stress, anxiety, confidence — and somewhere around the fourth or fifth session, once the room had got safe enough, a certain number of them would say there’s actually something else.

What struck me was how consistent it was. The same loop, the same watching, the same verdict passed in more or less the same words. And the same astonishing fact underneath: almost none of them had told anybody. Sometimes for years. Sometimes not even the person they were living with.

What struck me second was how badly served they were. There was medical information, which was accurate and did not touch the part that was hurting. There were companies selling tablets, which help a great many men and do nothing whatever about the fear. And there was very little in between that treated the reader as intelligent, told him the truth, and did not leave him feeling like a defective appliance.

So I started working on it properly, and eventually wrote the book I kept wishing I could hand people.

02How I work

Plainly, and without much ceremony. I explain what is happening in ordinary language, because understanding the mechanism is the thing that most reliably takes the panic out of it. Then we work on the parts that respond to practice: reducing pressure in the moment, interrupting the self-monitoring, and rebuilding in steps small enough to succeed at.

Where it helps, I use hypnosis and relaxation work — not as theatre, and not as a way of installing confidence you have not got, but because a nervous system that has been braced for a long time benefits from direct, repeated practice at being unhurried.

I will not ask you for explicit detail. I will not require you to talk about your childhood unless it turns out to be genuinely relevant. And I will tell you honestly if I think somebody else would serve you better.

Specialists are not better people. They have simply seen the same thing often enough to stop being surprised by it.

03Why there are no testimonials here

You will have noticed this site has none. That is deliberate, and it is not because nobody has been helped.

Men who have been through this do not put their names to reviews about it — and any five-star quote with a full name and a photograph would tell you something rather unflattering about how the person publishing it treats confidentiality.

So instead of asking you to trust strangers, I have put the evidence where you can judge it for yourself: the whole method, explained free, the book’s opening, free, prices in plain text on the page, and a fifteen-minute call you may spend entirely on questions.

If you would rather hear it than read it.
