What this site knows about you

01The short version

There are no advertising trackers on this site, no third-party pixels and no cookie banner — because there is nothing to consent to. The self-assessment runs entirely inside your browser and transmits nothing whatsoever. The only time you give me anything is if you type it into a form and press a button.

You can read every page here without leaving a trace with me.

02The self-assessment

This is the important one, because it is the page where you are asked the most personal questions.

Nothing you enter on it is sent anywhere. There is no network request, no database, and nothing saved to your device — not even in your browser’s own storage, deliberately, in case the device is shared. Your answers live in the page’s memory and cease to exist when you close the tab. I never see them, and there is nothing for me to see.

If you want the description it produces, there is an optional email field at the end. That is the only point at which anything leaves your browser, and it is clearly marked.

03Reading this on a shared device

Some practical things, since a fair number of people here are reading on a phone or laptop somebody else uses.

• The browser tab and your history show The Quiet Problem and nothing more explicit.
• Every page has a close control at the top right that leaves the site and replaces the history entry, so the back button will not bring it back. Pressing Escape twice quickly does the same.
• Your browser’s private or incognito window will keep this out of your history altogether.
• Nothing on this site plays audio without you asking it to.

04Analytics

[ANALYTICS PROVIDER] — a privacy-first service that counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no advertising networks anywhere on the site.

If advertising is ever run, the landing pages it points at will be the only pages carrying a tracking pixel, and they will say so on the page itself.

05Email

If you join the list, [EMAIL PROVIDER] holds your address and nothing else. Confirmation and subsequent emails come from an ordinary address with a subject line that does not say what it is about. One click unsubscribes you. The list is never sold, shared, rented or used for anything but what you signed up for.

06Payments

Card payments are handled by [PAYMENT PROVIDER]. I never see or hold your card details. Your statement shows [STATEMENT DESCRIPTOR].

07If we work together

Therapy is confidential within the standard professional limits, which I explain in plain language before the first session rather than burying in a document you will not read. Briefly: I would break confidentiality only where there is a serious risk to your life or someone else’s, or where the law requires it, and wherever possible I would tell you first.

I keep [NOTES POLICY]. Records are held [RETENTION PERIOD] and stored [STORAGE METHOD]. You are entitled to ask what I hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted, and you are entitled to ask me to explain any of this before you book anything.

08Your rights, and who to ask
